INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING NOMINATIONS

1.      Nominations must clearly indicate whether the nominee wishes to be considered for appointment to the District Citizens’ Oversight Committee (“DCOC”),  one of the nine college citizens’ committees (CCCs”), or both District and college level categories.  Refer to Section I.

2.      In section 2, nominees will indicate their capacity to represent one or more of the interest group categories (i.e. Business, labor, senior citizens, etc.)

3.      In response to Section 3, nominees will provide the requested items as an attachment to the Nomination packet:

q       a brief resume

q       a statement of what the nominee expects to contribute if appointed.

q       a list of references that will support the nomination  - listed by name, organizational affiliation, interest group category represented (see section 2, above), address (street address, city, state, zip code), and telephone contact number.

4.      Nominations may be submitted by individuals who have the support of interest groups listed in Section 2, above, or they may be submitted by organizations that fall within these categories

5.      The deadline for applications to be received by the Los Angeles Community College District is 5:00 p.m. on May 18, 2001.

6.      All applications must be mailed or delivered in person to:
