Los Angeles Community College District
Bond Construction Program Citizen Oversight Committees

To ensure that Proposition A money is spent wisely, the Los Angeles Community College District established an independent District Citizen’s Oversight Committee, as well as Citizen Oversight Committees for each of the District’s nine colleges.  The panels are comprised of business, labor, education, student, senior and community leaders.  As required by Proposition A, these committees will ensure that “bond revenues are expended only for construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation or replacement of college facilities and that no bond revenues are expended for any teacher or administrative salaries or other college operating expenses.”
