The 78-year-old campus, on 49 acres in the heart of the city at Vermont and Melrose avenues, has been transformed thanks to voter-approved investments that so far total about $240 million. Los Angeles City College has opened the Science and Technology building, the Child Development Center and the Martin Luther King Jr. Library.
