Los Angeles Southwest College is located in the heart of south Los Angeles, near the intersection of Western and Imperial Boulevards. Through the District's Sustainable Building Program, the College has undergone an "extreme makeover" having completed several new facilities in 2008 including: the Northeast Quadrant and Entry Plaza, Campus Corner (Marquee) Sign, Athletic Field House and Stadium, Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Building, Parking Structure West Entry Drive and the Campus Security Facility, among other projects.

"Linked-In": Students and faculty linked arms to form a "human chain" during a recent opening ceremony for the new $16-million Student Services Building, symbolizing the their daily connection to impact student success. The 64,437-square-foot facility houses 24 student services ranging from enrollment to financial aid. The two-story building is designed to meet the U.S. Green Building Council's Silver LEED™ standards. This includes the use of water reducing technologies, alternative transportation, energy efficient features and low-emitting materials.
