Bond Construction Program
LACCD
We are modernizing and improving the nine LACCD colleges so that LA's residents are prepared to fill the high-wage, high-skill jobs of the 21st Century. At the same time, we are spending the $2.2 billion in voter-approved dollars wisely. We are building green and spending local.
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is one of the largest community college districts in the country, educating more than 110,000 students each year. The LACCD has embarked on a $2.2 billion construction and modernization program at its nine college campuses. Bond Construction Program, approved by Los Angeles voters in 2001 and 2003 respectively, are providing more than $2.2 billion for new construction and modernization efforts at each of the nine Los Angeles Community Colleges:
- Los Angeles City College
- East Los Angeles College
- Los Angeles Harbor College
- Los Angeles Mission College
- Pierce College
- Los Angeles Southwest College
- Los Angeles Trade-Technical College
- Los Angeles Valley College
- West Los Angeles College.
The LACCD is also currently undertaking the largest public sector sustainable building effort in the United States, funded by proceeds from Bond Construction Program.
